Freeform work feels like turning craft into art. I really enjoyed crocheting the motif you shared and I can’t wait to create my own work of art once my life feels real again. I lost my partner of 14 years to a heart attack on Sunday night and l feel like I’m swimming through a very surreal sea of memory and emotion.

Oh Donna, I'm so sorry. My heart goes out to you. I hope that fiber crafts will be a consolation to you when you're ready.

Your pieces are stunning! The Poncho Cowl has turned out so well and the tote is gorgeous. Have you ever put your free from pieces together on a board and framed them to hang on a wall?

Thanks, Jodie! I have done a few freeform wall pieces, and it's actually on my to-do list to do more of them. Artist's canvas makes a good base, then it's easy to hang.

when fall comes I make leaves and have tied them onto trees

the poor things look so naked with out them.

Yes, I did the knitted half first, then worked the crochet directly on to it when possible. The circle motifs had to be seamed on since they are crocheted from the center out.
