Sorry Lisa, I’m late to reading this. August was crazy and I didn’t get out of my own head. I love your spirals and admired your 100 day project. Mine was all over the place but was a great learning experience. Yes! Try wall pieces. They are so much fun. I love the idea of a neighborhood art walk!
Thanks for the encouragement, Sheryl. I'm going to go for it, sooner or later. Hopefully sooner, but I have a lot of "all over the place" going on over here as well, hehe.
Thank you, Susan, I'm very glad you're here! I hope you find something you'd like to try out in freeform crochet. Some of the newsletters have instructions for small things to try if you're interested.
I love the idea of including some crochet rows in the knitting. I've long had it in my head to mix various crafts-- like macrame with knitting, etc. When I get my ability to concentrate back ( since Covid I've been a little ADHD), I will think about designing.
I'm intrigued by the free form wedges going into the blue shawl. I can't wait to see how it shapes up. I recently purchased a limited amount of beautiful yarn at Flock and I plan to use it in the favorite shawl pattern and perhaps add some scrumbles to one end or in the middle if I can get them to lay flat. This would be more of a color coordinated freeform which does take a bit of thinking and removes the random scrappiness that I love. Im up for a 30 challenge that you could provide a prompt/brief instruction for and then we post under a hashtag?

New subscriber. I found you from Jodie Morgan’s stack! I’m so excited to be here and I’m a crochet person. Don’t knit but your stuff is so beautiful

It'll be fascinating to see your wall pieces!

I love your newsletter with great ideas.
We must be cut from the same cloth, I love to combine the fibery crafts. The more the merrier!
Will you have a pattern for this.
We'll see how it turns out, it's early days at this point.

Thanks, Janice. I've been working on the freeform wedges this morning. I'm looking forward to sharing more progress in the next newsletter.
I'm also looking forward to seeing what you do with the Favorite plus freeform shawl you've planned. So exciting!
A challenge might be fun. Let me think on it a little after I get some classes scheduled.
